Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Being obedient to the Great Commission, The Crossroads story began in 1980, when three families moved to Europe from the U.S. with the dream to plant an English-speaking church in the Geneva area. After initially meeting in homes, the congregation settled into an old furniture warehouse in Ferney-Voltaire, on the French side of the border. Crossroads Church Ferney Voltaire, our mother church, was born! One of the great moments in Crossroads’ history was the historic march from the old warehouse across to the new building God had provided. Since then the building has been home to one of the most diverse congregations in the world. Weekly, it has been filled with people from across the globe who come into contact with the grace of God – because of the vision and faith of those who have gone before.

Another pivotal moment came in 2012 when Crossroads Saint Genis, now Crossroads Thoiry, was born. In order to reach more people with God’s love in the greater Geneva area, Justus and Samantha Heyman, Amanda McLamb and close to 50 other adults and children from Crossroads Ferney were commissioned to establish a second Crossroads Church. Over the past few years, by God’s grace and lots of hard work this new church has become established and reached more people for Christ, touching lives locally and globally. In December of 2016, we took a major step of faith and moved into our current building in Thoiry and also moved to independence as a church. These steps of maturation were always a part of the plan, and we thank the Lord for the prayers and support of our mother congregation, Crossroads Ferney-Voltaire, for helping us immensely along the way. As we look ahead, we are excited to see how God will use this church to bless people here and around the world as we seek to help a growing number of people receive and reflect the love of Jesus Christ.
